* The services that Continuum offers include providing general educational information about the law; however, because the owner and operator, Clay McLeod, is not a practicing member of the Law Society of British Columbia, he is not able to give opinions about the application of the law to any particular set of facts, nor is he able to recommend a particular course of action in relation to legal issues.
Since Clay is a no longer a practising member of the Law Society of British Columbia, he is not permitted to engage in the practice of law. He is not entitled to carry on any business in such a way that:
(a) He represents himself as a practising lawyer, or
(b) a person might reasonably expect that in the carrying on of my business he will exercise legal judgment or skill for the protection of that person.
Therefore, Clay requires people and organizations employing him to perform tasks not to rely on his skill or judgment as if he were a practising lawyer, since he is not entitled to give a legal opinion or legal advice in any matter.
